Spotlight rules
Effective August 24, 2026
Position is the money
- Rank is the permanent sum of a profile's confirmed payments inside its selected fame category. Nothing else changes the order.
- Each category is an independent ladder with its own #1. The first confirmed $5 profile in an empty category takes #1 there.
- Payments are one-time promotional purchases in $5 steps, starting at $5. Confirmed payments have no scheduled expiry while the profile remains live and compliant.
- Taking a category's #1 costs at least $5 more than that category's current top total. Paying less still takes the highest position that amount can buy.
- Payments to the same normalized profile URL accumulate. The profile owner may return and add to that total.
- A profile's original category is locked after its first confirmed payment.
- Ties favor the profile whose first confirmed payment came earlier. A new $5 profile therefore appears below every earlier $5 profile in that category.
- A single checkout may be up to $999,995 without automatic tax, or $749,995 when automatic tax is enabled to preserve headroom for the charged tax. Repeat payments can carry the cumulative ranking total beyond $1 million.
- A profile never disappears merely because it is outbid; only its position changes.
What higher position buys
Each category's #1 receives the largest placement and appears first, #2–#3 receive featured placement, and lower ranks receive standard board placement. A payment buys sponsored visibility under these rules. It does not guarantee followers, likes, impressions, clicks, media coverage, income, or fame. Another payment can move a profile above you at any time.
Tax and ranking credit
The amount entered on InstantCelebrity is the sponsored-position credit. Stripe may add applicable tax at checkout. Tax is recorded separately and does not increase rank; the final charged total is shown before payment.
Profiles and measurement
- You must be at least 18 years old to purchase a position or submit a profile.
- You may submit only your own profile or a profile you are authorized to control and promote.
- Submitted tracking and affiliate query parameters are removed. A functional Facebook profile ID may be retained. InstantCelebrity adds its own attribution parameters to outbound links.
- Outbound links are labeled sponsored and nofollow.
- Viewable impressions, redirects, and browser-deduped visits are best-effort measurements. Basic automation filters and first-party deduplication are used, but no web metric is perfect.
What may not be listed
Minors, private individuals without permission, impersonation, harassment, hateful or exploitative content, sexual services or adult-platform profiles, illegal activity, scams, malware, deceptive offers, private messaging invitations, and content that violates another person's rights are prohibited.
Moderation
InstantCelebrity may pause, relabel, or remove a profile that violates these rules, creates legal or safety risk, or materially misrepresents its destination. Removal for a rule violation does not create a refund right except where the law requires one. Report concerns to support@instantcelebrity.lol.
